Mao Feng white tea, the king of white teas

Organically grown and hand-harvested, Mao Feng tea originates from Vietnam. More refined than Chinese, Indian, or Japanese teas, it is said to be the kings' favorite. Harvested when its buds are white, this tea reveals a lighter color than matcha or Oolong. Its flavor, sweet and mild, differs from the vegetal notes of green teas and rooibos, as well as from the full-bodied taste of black tea. Low in caffeine, it remains a beverage suitable for everyone at any time of day.

The benefits and virtues of Mao Feng

While green teas are often (rightfully) known for their antioxidant content, they are surpassed in this area by organic Mao Feng. Often used in traditional Chinese, Japanese and Indian medicine, Mao Feng is also prominent in cosmetics. Rich in polyphenols, including catechins, this tea has a strong antioxidant action. The presence of aromatic amines supports and stimulates the immune system. Recommended to soothe and calm the gastrointestinal tract, this tea is sometimes scented with organic jasmine to soothe body and mind. A delicate way to reinvent the cup of tea away from powerful teas like Sencha, matcha, darjeeling or Oolong.

Our tasting advice

How to prepare Mao Feng?

Like all teas, Sencha, matcha, Oolong or darjeeling, white tea organic Mao Feng is prepared by steeping in hot water. To obtain the sweet and mild notes of the product, steeping for 1.5 to 2 minutes is sufficient.

How much Mao Feng to use?

To obtain a flavored organic white tea, we recommend using 12 to 15 grams of Mao Feng per liter of water.

What is the ideal steeping temperature for Mao Feng?

White tea is delicate. Our organic Mao Feng contains numerous buds. To preserve the delicate flavor of our organic tea, we recommend using water at 70-80°C.

When to drink Mao Feng?

Unlike green teas or black tea, Mao Feng white tea is almost caffeine-free. You can therefore enjoy its taste throughout the day. As a replacement for darjeeling in your cup of tea or traditional Japanese matcha.

The advantages of loose Mao Feng

Whether loose, in a box or a bag, our organic Mao Feng white tea contains leaves and buds. Like all our teas, this organic tea maintains its flavor throughout storage. Loose packaging also ensures long-lasting freshness.
