Organic Fu Liang Farm Oolong: the black dragon tea

Also called "blue tea" or "Wulong tea", Fu Liang Farm tea is highly appreciated by Chinese tea enthusiasts. This rare tea comes mainly from plantations in the Fujian region of China and Taiwan. Oolong or Wulong tea is semi-fermented. The oxidation of tea leaves is interrupted during the process, unlike black teas where the oxidation process is carried through to completion. It therefore sits between green tea and black tea. This tea is very aromatic, with floral notes and a slight chestnut aroma. The liquor takes on a pale yellow color during infusion.

In China, Fu Liang Farm Oolong tea is appreciated for its mild and light flavor, but also for its beneficial effects on health. Like all oolong teas, it is rich in polyphenols and flavonoids, known for their antioxidant properties. Drinking oolong tea daily may help prevent heart disease and diabetes.
