Also called Zhen Mei, the organic Chinese green tea Chun Mee is characterized by small, finely rolled leaves. After brewing, Chun Mee produces an amber liquor with soft and floral notes and a slight taste of honey, plum, or licorice, depending on opinions. Like Gunpowder and Sencha green teas, Chun Mee is very suitable for preparing mint tea.
Long consumed in China, Chun Mee green tea is appreciated for its flavor, but also for its beneficial effect on health. Like all green teas from China and Japan, it is rich in polyphenols known for their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging properties. Like coffee and black tea, organic Chun Mee contains caffeine known for its positive effects on the central nervous system.
The preparation of Chun Mee is similar to most Japanese or Chinese green teas. To reduce its slightly bitter taste without altering its flavors, Chun Mee can be rinsed with simmering water before brewing. To complement this information, note that this tea with a mild and floral aroma can be consumed plain or sweetened.
To prepare a balanced and fragrant tea, use 12 to 15 grams of loose organic Chun Mee leaves per liter of water. For a standard cup, use about 3 grams. This weight is equivalent to 1 teaspoon of Chun Mee.
To reveal its delicate flavors, your organic Chun Mee green tea requires water at 70-80°C (158-176°F) and a brewing time of 2 to 3 minutes. Before brewing, remember to rinse your accessories, teapot, and cup with boiling water.
Like most green teas, organic Chun Mee can be enjoyed at any time of the day, and even in the evening without concern for sleep quality. In summer, it can be included in the list of ingredients for delicious iced teas with a great fruit flavor.
Our organic Chinese Chun Mee green tea is offered loose and packaged in a 100g resealable bag. For you, this guarantees a high-quality tea with impeccable freshness. Its price per kilo, significantly more affordable than individual tea bags, makes it a decidedly economical product.

Very pleasant natural tea, with no added fragrance. Organic. Interesting price for bulk 1 kilo. Ideal for 'daily' consumption of a green tea without additives. (Translated review)

We've been drinking this green tea daily for months. Its light taste can be enhanced by a little sugar (or sucralose for those who avoid sugar). Despite regular consumption, we never tire of it. It's very reasonably priced, especially in 1 k° packs, and the taste is consistent over time and orders. Highly recommended. (Translated review)
The problem with green tea is its "delicate" taste, a euphemism for the fact that it is very ( very ) light. This is undoubtedly why these teas are generally flavored. But for a lover of natural green tea, even if you follow the instructions on quantity, water temperature and infusion time, it's hard to find a green tea that tastes good. Chun Mee comes through with flying colors. Better even than more expensive green teas in the same price range. There's no denying that slightly sweetened or watered down, the taste of this tea is "enhanced". (Translated review)
