The best black tea varieties are Assam, Darjeeling and Nilgiri teas from India, Keemun and Yunnan from China, or Ceylon from Sri Lanka. Assam tea has the strongest taste and is often used as a base for Earl Grey preparation. The SFTGFOP grade of Tonganagaon organic Assam tea is superior to TGFOP or FTGFOP grades and indicates that the selected leaves are premium quality. Brown with golden tips, they come from the first spring harvest (first flush) and give mahogany and copper color notes. The flavor of this organic tea, known for its full-bodied character, is a balanced blend of spices and honey.
First flush black teas are the most sought after and generally contain more nutrients, antioxidants, and theine than teas from other harvests of the year. Its properties help protect heart health and strengthen the immune system. The Tonganagaon tea garden, located near the Namdapha Nature Reserve in India, known for its biodiversity, brings together ideal conditions for organic cultivation. By excluding pesticides and chemicals, the benefits of this tea are enhanced.
Black tea embodies a multitude of flavors and perfumed tastes (spicy, fruity, smoky, etc.). To preserve these properties, you can choose a superior quality organic tea, preferably loose leaf.
Like other black teas in our selection, the recommended amount of organic Assam tea is 12 to 15 grams per liter. The 50-gram packaging thus allows you to prepare more than 20 cups of tea.
Assam tea preparation is ideally made with low mineral water (filtered or bottled water) at a temperature of 95°C or 100°C. The recommended steeping time is 3 to 5 minutes, but can vary according to your preferences.
Organic black tea from Tonganagaon is an ideal morning beverage and can be enjoyed plain or with a splash of milk. A delicious cup of this organic tea in the morning heralds a beautiful day marked by health and nature!
Since tea leaves are not washed before drying, organic farming preserves the ancestral methods of harvesting and manufacturing while protecting our health and biodiversity. Whether black, white, green or rooibos, infusions of loose tea packaged in ziplock bags or metal boxes preserve its rich, flavored or perfumed taste and its distinctive notes.
