Lung Ching tea: a green tea also known as Dragon Well

Lung ching tea is also called lung jing or Dragon Well. Many legends surround the name Dragon Well. One of them tells that a dragon lived in a spring near Hangzhou. It would have offered rain to a village after a prayer was addressed to it, thus allowing the cultivation of this exceptional tea.
Lung ching tea is wok-dried to stop the oxidation of the leaves.

The benefits and virtues of lung ching tea

The high antioxidant content of this green tea makes it a beverage with many virtues. This tea is renowned for helping to fight aging, and some of its antioxidants may help prevent cancers and certain neurodegenerative conditions. It is also excellent for your cardiovascular health.
This product, unlike rooibos, comes from the same plant as white teas and black teas. Like matcha tea and Sencha tea, it is an ally for detoxifying your body.

Our tasting recommendations

How to prepare lung ching tea?

To preserve the aromas and flavor of our organic product, the water temperature and steeping time are of utmost importance. Here are our preparation tips for a cup of green tea that is as smooth as it is delicious.

How much lung ching tea should you use?

Count between 12 to 15 grams of product per liter of water. For a better experience, use an empty tea bag, an infuser, or a tea ball to steep your tea leaves.

What is the ideal steeping temperature for lung ching tea?

Heat the water until it reaches a temperature of 70 to 80°C. Then pour the hot water into your cup and let your green tea steep for 1 minute 30 to 2 minutes maximum. Green tea needs a shorter steeping time than black tea, rooibos, and white tea.
