At a glance: Organic vanilla rose white tea, a soft and floral blend based on Pai Mu Tan, Chun Mee and Mao Feng. Brew at 60-65°C, 2 min, 12-15 g/L. Silky, vanilla-kissed, floral profile.

Our vanilla rose white tea was born from a simple idea: to craft a cup as gentle as a petal, as enveloping as a note of vanilla. A delicate blend, created for those who love refined white teas and subtly floral aromas.

Julien Huot, founder of the house, wanted a blend that felt both familiar and soothing, where the vegetal character of Pai Mu Tan meets the sweet roundness of vanilla and the refinement of rose. our white tea collection to explore the full range.

The aromatic profile of vanilla rose white tea

This organic blend opens with a floral top note, carried by rose petals (2%) and natural rose aroma. A silky fragrance, never overpowering, evoking a garden in the early morning light.

The heart of the cup reveals the softness of vanilla (1%), paired with organic vanilla extract and grape pieces. This measured sweetness coats the palate without masking the delicacy of the white tea.

In the background, the leaves make their presence felt: Pai Mu Tan brings its rounded, buttery vegetal quality, China Chun Mee adds a lightly herbaceous freshness, and Mao Feng closes with a fine, silky finish. Three exceptional teas forming a base of real distinction.

The liquor is clear and luminous, with a pale, slightly golden hue. The palate is round and smooth, with no bitterness, and a gentle floral length that lingers softly. A truly tender tea, best savoured slowly.

How to brew vanilla rose white tea

Brewing a white tea calls for gentleness and patience. Water that is too hot will scorch the delicate leaves and overwhelm the floral notes. Here are our precise guidelines for bringing out the best in this blend.

Quantity: use 12 to 15 g of leaves per litre, roughly 2 heaped teaspoons for a 50 cl teapot. A generous dose draws out the full aromatic range without forcing the brew.

Temperature: bring your water to a gentle simmer, then allow it to cool to 60-65°C. This is the ideal window for delicate white teas, which do not respond well to high temperatures. For more guidance, see our how to brew white tea guide, adapted to other white teas.

Steeping time: 2 minutes is all you need. Beyond that, the rose can take over and the cup may become overly floral. Remove the leaves as soon as the time is up.

Water: choose a low-mineral, fresh and filtered water. Hard water dulls the subtlety of white tea, while soft spring water brings out the vanilla notes beautifully.

You can re-steep the leaves a second time, adding a little extra time. The profile will be more vegetal and less sweet, but just as enjoyable. Served iced, this blend makes a wonderfully refreshing drink: cold-brew in the fridge for 4 hours, without sugar. A perfect recipe for warm days.

Storage

Store your vanilla rose white tea in an airtight, opaque tin, away from light, moisture and strong odours. White tea leaves are particularly sensitive to aroma transfer. A metal or ceramic canister kept in a cupboard at room temperature will preserve the freshness of the blend for several months after opening. Avoid the refrigerator, which causes condensation, and keep the tea well away from spices or coffee.
