Bergamot green tea to brighten your day!

Enjoyed from the first cup of the morning, this organic green tea with its bright citrus and floral character brings a cheerful note to your day. A Chinese Sencha blended with white tea, cornflower blossoms and rose petals, it makes for a genuinely nourishing brew. Much like classic Earl Grey, this aromatic organic tea features bergamot, a citrus fruit grown mainly in the Calabria region of Italy, prized for its notes of lime and bitter orange.

The benefits of bergamot green tea

This gentle blend of green and white tea, lifted by bergamot and flower petals, brings out the best of each ingredient. Organic green tea is valued for its medicinal properties, while white tea, lower in caffeine than black tea, supports fat metabolism and helps maintain healthy cholesterol levels. The balanced composition of Mashu tea makes it exceptionally rich in antioxidants. Bergamot, grown mainly in Calabria and recognised as an excellent source of vitamin C, has natural stress-relieving properties and helps strengthen the immune system.

Brewing guidance

How to prepare bergamot green tea?

To get the most from your tea, we recommend following the instructions on the tin. Heat the water to the right temperature, then let the leaves steep, ideally covered, for the suggested time.

How much bergamot green tea should I use?

For a one-litre teapot, 12 to 15 grams of leaves is ideal, which works out to 2 to 3 grams per cup. Using a measuring spoon, 1 to 2 scoops will be enough for a standard mug.

What is the ideal brewing temperature for bergamot green tea?

Water between 75 and 80°C is perfect. Once poured over the leaves, a steep of 2 to 3 minutes is all it takes for an optimal infusion.

When is the best time to drink bergamot green tea?

This organic tea is a pleasure at any time of day. Whether you reach for it in the morning to start the day on a bright note, or in the afternoon for a gently floral pick-me-up, its distinctive character never disappoints.

Why choose loose-leaf bergamot green tea?

To keep this tea at its best, store it away from air, light, heat and moisture. At Thés & Traditions, our resealable zip pouches and metal tins are designed to protect every quality of the blend. The closures are easy to seal back up after each use. Loose-leaf format also allows for precise dosing, whatever your cup size. Every organic tea in our shop is packaged in France and grown with genuine care for the environment.
