Brewing is straightforward and brings out the best in every ingredient. Use 12 to 15 grams of leaves per liter of water, roughly one heaping tablespoon for a large cup.
Bring water to 100°C and pour it over the leaves. Steep for 3 to 5 minutes depending on the strength you prefer: 3 minutes for a fruity, gentle cup, 5 minutes for something fuller where the rum note comes fully into its own.
For iced tea, double the amount of leaves and cold-brew in the refrigerator for 4 hours. Serve over ice with a splash of lemon juice, and the Red Velvet flavor becomes a truly refreshing alcohol-free cooler. Try it as part of your morning ritual for a beautiful start to the day.
