In a nutshell: an organic cacao choco black tea blending full-bodied Assam, 16% crushed cacao nibs and coconut. Brew at 100°C for 3 to 5 minutes, 13g/L.

Picture the warmth of a cup of hot cocoa meeting the woody richness of a characterful Assam. Our organic chocolate tea was born from this indulgent pairing, crafted to turn a morning moment into something soft and enveloping.

This blend brings together two organic Assam black teas, crushed cacao nibs at 16% of the recipe, a hint of coconut and a cacao extract. Explore our black teas to continue your journey through bold, intense flavours.

The flavour profile of Cacao Choco Black Tea

From the moment you open the pouch, the scent of cacao comes through, deep and gently roasted. In the cup, the liquor takes on a dark, clear amber hue.

On the palate, the first impression is round and chocolatey. The cacao nibs bring a rich, almost coffee-like depth, while the coconut drifts in the background like a silky veil. The Assam holds everything together with its malted body and velvety tannins.

The finish is long and indulgent, with no bitterness. A true marriage of the intensity of black tea and the sweetness of chocolate, perfect for those who love rich, dessert-inspired flavours over fruity or floral notes.

If this style appeals to you, you'll also love our vanilla black tea, another beloved indulgent classic from our house.

How to brew Cacao Choco Black Tea

To bring out the full richness of this blend, use 13g of leaves per litre of water, roughly a heaped tablespoon for a large cup.

Bring the water to 100°C, then pour it over the leaves and cacao nibs. Steep for 3 to 5 minutes depending on the intensity you prefer: 3 minutes for a softer, more chocolatey cup, 5 minutes for a bolder, more tannic character.

This infusion is wonderful on its own, but also welcomes a splash of plant-based milk (oat, coconut) to enhance its dessert-like quality. Try our Cacao Choco Black Tea as a warm latte for a comforting breakfast, or poured over ice cubes for a surprisingly delicious summer treat.

Storage

Keep your tea in its airtight tin, away from light, moisture and strong odours. The cacao and coconut aromas will stay fresh for several months, so every cup tastes as good as the first.
