The aromatic profile of this infusion
Open the pouch and the scent is immediately familiar: a floral, almost sweet breath, lifted by the vivid freshness of mint. An invitation to slow down.
In the cup, the golden liquor first reveals the linden blossom, which makes up the majority of the blend (64%), with its honeyed notes and enveloping softness. Then comes the peppermint (5% whole leaf, complemented by 16% mint), which brightens the palate with a clean menthol quality that never overpowers.
In the background, whole verbena draws out the tasting experience with its citrus, gently herbaceous scent. The balance is tender and smooth, perfectly suited to moments when you need to settle. For a different menthol experience, you might also enjoy our Detox Mint Herbal Infusion, which has a more invigorating character.
How to brew the linden mint herbal infusion
Preparation is straightforward, though a few simple steps make all the difference in bringing out the plants' full character.
- Amount: 12 to 15 g of herbs per litre of water, roughly one heaped tablespoon per cup.
- Temperature: 100°C (212°F), just-boiled water, to properly draw out the compounds from the linden blossom and verbena.
- Steeping time: 7 to 10 minutes, depending on the intensity you prefer. The longer the steep, the more pronounced the peppermint becomes.
- Accessories: a wide-filter teapot or a large tea infuser, so the whole flowers have room to open fully.
Strain, breathe in, and sip without sugar to appreciate the linden's natural sweetness. A few drops of mild honey can deepen the softness without masking the herbs.
Traditional benefits of linden and mint
Linden has long been used traditionally to encourage relaxation and support restful sleep. According to the EMA, linden blossom (Tilia) is recognised in traditional use for relieving mild stress and helping with sleep onset.
Peppermint, for its part, has traditionally been associated with digestive comfort after meals. ANSES acknowledges its use among plants traditionally brewed as an infusion for these properties.
Verbena, finally, has long been valued for its soothing aroma and citrus flavour, which gently rounds out the blend. Julien Huot, founder of Thés & Traditions, developed this recipe with a focus on carefully selected organic plants.

Storing your herbal infusion
Keep the herbs in their resealed pouch or in an airtight tin, away from light, heat and moisture. Store away from strong spices, which can compromise the delicate floral and menthol character.
Properly stored, the infusion retains its full aroma for 18 to 24 months after opening. Packaged in our workshop to preserve the freshness of the whole flowers.
