The flavour profile of our children's herbal infusion
On the nose, strawberry and apple open with a tender, almost jammy quality. At the heart, orange peel and a piece of banana bring warmth and a sunny sweetness. At the finish, fennel adds a soft, anise-tinged freshness, while hibiscus tints the cup a beautiful, rich red.
In the cup, the liquor is fruity and lightly tangy thanks to the hibiscus, with a natural sweetness that younger palates love. No added sugar needed: the fruit does all the work.
If you're looking for something a little more tangy for older children or adults, try our blood orange and pomegranate herbal infusion.
How to prepare the children's herbal infusion
Bring water to 100°C, use 15 to 20 g per litre (around one tablespoon per cup) and steep for 10 to 12 minutes. Strain, then allow to cool slightly before serving to little ones.
For an iced version, double the quantity and pour over ice: a perfect summer treat. For an evening ritual, serve warm in a favourite cup, with no added sugar. Try it cold-brewed in a jug in the fridge for a refreshing companion to summer meals.
Storage
Store this herbal infusion in its original tin, tightly sealed and away from light, heat and moisture, to keep its fruity aromas at their best for months.
Frequently asked questions
Which herbal infusions are suitable for children?
