At a glance: organic Jiangkou green tea, a triple green base with notes of strawberry and raspberry, steep for 2-3 min at 70-80°C, 12-15 g/L. Indulgent and floral, equally lovely hot or iced.

Jiangkou is one of our most indulgent creations in our green tea collection. A carefully blended triple base of green teas meets the bright, fruity character of strawberry and raspberry, lifted by the gentle touch of rose petals.

This refined blend appeals to lovers of flavoured teas and curious newcomers alike, offering a naturally fresh, easy-to-enjoy cup at any hour of the day. Explore our other red fruit teas to continue the journey.

The aromatic profile of Jiangkou tea

Jiangkou stands out for its three-voice composition. Three organic green teas form its base, each bringing its own distinct character to the cup.

China Sencha opens with its fresh, lightly vegetal quality, giving the blend its backbone. China White Monkey adds a silky, almost creamy softness that mellows the first impression. Finally, the rolled pearls of China Jasmine Dragon Pearls release a subtle, lingering jasmine fragrance.

Against this backdrop, the indulgent notes of red fruits unfold. Strawberry brings an immediately recognisable sweetness and roundness. Raspberry, brighter and more tart, adds a lively, juicy lift to the whole.

Rose petals sign the floral finish. They never overwhelm the fruit: they wrap around it, give it depth, and lend the cup that quiet elegance found in the finest flavoured teas.

Top, heart and base

  • Top note: vibrant raspberry, a tart brightness that wakes the palate
  • Heart note: ripe strawberry, sweet roundness carried by the Sencha base
  • Base note: jasmine and rose, a long, soothing floral trail

The liquor takes on a clear, golden hue, luminous in the cup. The rising aroma evokes a basket of freshly picked summer fruit set on a petal-strewn cloth. Also worth exploring: our strawberry, raspberry and peach green tea for an equally indulgent variation.

How to brew Jiangkou green tea

Brewing a flavoured green tea calls for a little care, though nothing complicated. Temperature and steeping time make all the difference between a balanced cup and one that turns bitter.

Brewing parameters

  • Quantity: 12 to 15 g per litre, roughly one heaped teaspoon per 250 ml cup
  • Water temperature: 70 to 80°C, never boiling
  • Steeping time: 2 to 3 minutes, depending on desired strength
  • Water: soft, low-mineral water is ideal, to let the natural aromas shine

If you don't have a temperature-controlled kettle, simply let the water rest off the heat for two minutes after it comes to a simmer before pouring. Above 85°C, the Sencha turns bitter and masks the fruit notes.

Step by step

Warm your teapot or cup with a little hot water, then discard. Place the leaves in a sufficiently large infuser so they can unfurl freely. Pour water at the correct temperature and steep for 2 minutes for a brighter cup, or 3 minutes for something fuller and more enveloping.

Remove the infuser as soon as the steeping time is up. Green tea doesn't like to wait: over-steeping releases tannins that smother the fruit. For guidance on the best time to enjoy green tea during your day, our guide has you covered.

Cold brew version

Jiangkou lends itself beautifully to cold brewing. Use 15 g of leaves per litre of cold water and leave to steep in the fridge for 4 to 6 hours. The result is clear, barely astringent, and intensely fruity. A perfect recipe for summer afternoons, served with a few fresh raspberries and a sprig of mint.

You can also brew a classic hot cup, let it cool, then pour it over ice for an equally delicious express iced tea. To go further, explore everything about green tea.

Storage

Store your Jiangkou tea in its original tin or an airtight, opaque container, away from light, moisture and strong odours. Avoid the fridge, which introduces humidity and dulls the natural aromas. Packed in our workshop, this tea keeps its full freshness for 18 to 24 months when stored properly.

Frequently asked questions

What does Jiangkou raspberry green tea taste like?
Jiangkou offers an indulgent, floral profile: raspberry brings a bright, tart note, strawberry a sweet roundness, and rose petals a delicate, lingering finish. The triple green base (Sencha, White Monkey, Jasmine Dragon Pearls) provides a silky, aromatic vegetal foundation.

How do I brew raspberry green tea?
Use 12 to 15 g of leaves per litre, water at 70-80°C, and steep for 2 to 3 minutes. Water that is too hot will make the cup bitter. For a cold brew, steep in the fridge for 4 to 6 hours using 15 g/L.
