At a glance: organic digestive herbal infusion with lemon balm, chamomile, anise and fennel. Brew at 100°C (212°F), steep 10 to 12 minutes, 15 to 20 g per litre. Caffeine-free, perfect after meals.

Crafted as an after-meal herbal infusion, this organic digestive blend brings together eleven plants chosen for their gentleness. It can be enjoyed during the day or in the evening, without any stimulating effect — like a time-honoured family recipe.

A simple, generous herbal infusion for digestion, waiting to be discovered among our herbal infusion range.

The aromatic profile of our digestive herbal infusion

On the top note, lemon balm (30%) opens the cup with a delicate citrusy freshness. Chamomile brings a honey-like roundness, the hallmark of great traditional herbal recipes.

At the heart, anise, fennel (11%) and caraway (10%) unfold warm anise notes, lifted by a bright hint of peppermint. Liquorice root adds a natural sweetness, with no added sugar.

On the finish, verbena, marigold flowers and hop flowers carry the infusion through to a soothing, herbaceous close. Carrot rounds out the blend with a lightly sweet note. If you enjoy fruitier blends, take a look at our Raspberry Caramel Herbal Infusion.

How to brew this digestive herbal infusion

Bring water to 100°C (212°F). Use 15 to 20 g of herbs per litre, roughly one heaped tablespoon per cup, in a teapot or a wide tea infuser to let the flowers open fully.

Steep for 10 to 12 minutes, covered: this is essential to preserve the essential oils in the fennel, anise and peppermint, which evaporate quickly when exposed to air. Strain, then enjoy hot, ideally 15 to 20 minutes after eating, sipping slowly.

For guidance on choosing the right herbal infusion for every moment of the day, our guide walks you through it step by step. Savour this infusion as part of your after-meal ritual, for a gentle close to the day.

Storage

Keep this blend in its original resealable tin, away from light, heat and moisture. The aromas stay vibrant for up to 18 months after opening. Julien Huot, founder of Thés & Traditions, personally selects every plant that goes into this recipe.
