You can drink black tea in the evening. However, its high theine content may cause insomnia in more sensitive people. It can be replaced with green tea or rooibos infusion.

A good cup of hot tea has a relaxing effect. Its vasodilator effect allows the body to relax. Having a hot drink in the evening perfectly accompanies a bedtime ritual.
Unfortunately, black tea contains a high level of theine. Theine is a form of caffeine with stimulating properties. Though less energizing than coffee, black tea can disturb sleep in sensitive people. It's therefore better to drink it earlier in the day and limit consumption to eight cups maximum.
Tea can also be decaffeinated with a pre-infusion. The drink then loses both a large part of its caffeine and its tannins. For the evening, green tea or white tea are less stimulating. There is also the possibility of rooibos infusion, a beverage free of theine but rich in antioxidants. This "red tea" therefore also has many health benefits.
