We created this apple cinnamon rooibos around South African rooibos, a naturally sweet and caffeine-free plant. To give it character, we added apple pieces that bring a fruity and sweet touch, cinnamon for spicy warmth, fennel for its delicately aniseed notes, and a few cloves. A subtle touch of licorice enhances the blend and creates a delicious infusion with multiple facets.
This apple cinnamon rooibos offers you a caffeine-free wellness moment. You can therefore enjoy it at any time, like an herbal tea. Rooibos is naturally rich in antioxidants. It is traditionally recognized for promoting good digestion and contributing to digestive comfort (sources: EFSA on hold list - Rooibos (Aspalathus linearis) (ID 1234), EMA herbal monograph - Aspalathus linearis, PubMed Study 10.1007/s00394-019-01953-9). Apple, like all fruits, naturally provides vitamins and antioxidants that contribute to a balanced diet. As for cinnamon, it is traditionally appreciated for promoting a state of relaxation (sources: EMA herbal monograph - Cinnamomum verum). This infusion thus becomes a perfect ally for your moments of relaxation.
To fully appreciate each note of this delicious recipe, use spring water or low-mineral water. You can use a tea ball, a filter, or let it steep directly in your teapot before straining.
For a flavorful infusion, use 15 to 20 grams per liter of water, or about 4 to 5 grams for a large cup. This dosage allows each ingredient to express itself fully. You can adjust according to your preferences: a little more for greater intensity, a little less for a lighter version.
Like most rooibos and herbal teas, this one loves boiling water at 100°C. Let it steep for 7 to 10 minutes so that all the flavors are released: the sweetness of apple, the warmth of cinnamon, the aniseed notes of fennel. Rooibos has the particularity of never becoming bitter, even with prolonged steeping.
Caffeine-free, this apple cinnamon rooibos accompanies you from morning to evening. It is particularly pleasant at the end of the day to offer you a moment of relaxation, or after a hearty meal to aid digestion (sources: EFSA on hold list - Rooibos (Aspalathus linearis) (ID 1234), EMA herbal monograph - Aspalathus linearis). Its delicious sweetness also makes it an excellent comforting afternoon treat.
We offer this loose leaf rooibos to guarantee you optimal quality. Packaged in our workshops in France in a resealable zippered bag, your rooibos retains all its freshness even after opening. The advantage of loose leaf? You dose according to your preferences for a more or less strong infusion, and you enjoy whole ingredients that preserve all their flavors and properties.
(The above information is based on traditional uses documented by the EMA and EFSA.)
