At a glance: a goji green tea made with Sencha, goji berries, orange peel, rose petals and mallow. Brew at 70-80°C, 2-3 min, 12-15 g/L.

Tiaoxu is one of our most sun-drenched blends. Built on a base of long, silky Sencha leaves, we've layered in goji berries, orange peel, rose and mallow to create an infusion that's fruity, rounded and delicately fragrant.

This blend belongs to our family of scented green teas, crafted for those who love a lively cup with a gentle vegetal character lifted by something warm and fruity. Generous by nature, never overpowering.

Tiaoxu: the flavour profile

As soon as you open the pouch, the aroma brightens with candied mandarin and orange peel. A citrus freshness that's immediate, joyful, almost sun-warmed. Rose and mallow soften that first impression with a delicate floral touch.

On the palate, the Sencha unfolds its characteristic herbaceous, lightly briny notes. The goji berry brings a fruity roundness, gently sweet, calling to mind dried cherries and Corinth raisins.

The heart of the infusion stretches across mandarin, carried by a natural orange aroma. The finish is clean, fragrant and free of bitterness. A balanced cup that will appeal both to green tea lovers and to those just discovering the world of scented tea.

  • Sencha: fresh, vegetal base with a light umami quality
  • Goji berry: fruity roundness, dried red fruit notes
  • Orange peel and natural orange aroma: zesty, luminous brightness
  • Rose petals: a quiet floral elegance in the background
  • Mallow: softness and silkiness on the palate

How to brew Tiaoxu

Brewing matters here. Water that's too hot will flatten the delicacy of the Sencha and harden the orange aromas. Four simple guidelines to get it right.

  • Water: filtered or spring water, low in minerals
  • Temperature: 70 to 80°C (let the water cool briefly after boiling)
  • Quantity: 12 to 15 g per litre, around 2 g per cup
  • Time: 2 to 3 minutes, no longer

For the best results, use a teapot with a wide-mesh infuser: Sencha leaves and goji berries need room to open up. A second infusion works well too, simply extend the steeping time by one minute.

This blend also makes a wonderful cold brew: 15 g per litre, cold water, 4 hours in the refrigerator. The goji berry lends a natural sweetness that's perfect for a summer drink.

Storage

Store your Tiaoxu in an airtight tin, away from light, moisture and strong odours. Avoid the refrigerator, which can dull the delicate aromas of the Sencha. Packed in our workshop, this tea keeps its full freshness for up to 18 months after opening when stored properly.

Frequently asked questions

What are the benefits of goji green tea?
First and foremost, this is a tea made for pleasure. It offers a light, fragrant and fruity infusion, ideal for a quiet moment of pause. Enjoy it for its balanced sensory profile, where the fresh, vegetal character of the Sencha meets the gentle sweetness of the berries.

How do you brew a goji infusion?
Use 12 to 15 g of Tiaoxu per litre of water at 70-80°C, steeped for 2 to 3 minutes. The goji berries rehydrate gently and release their natural sweetness. You can also try a cold brew: steep for 4 hours in the refrigerator for a delicate, refreshing drink.

Where can I buy goji green tea?
Browse our selection of scented green teas to discover Tiaoxu and its fellow blends from the house. Every blend is crafted by our team with careful attention to the quality of leaves, fruits and flowers that go into it.

What types of goji tea are there?
Goji berries pair beautifully with green tea, white tea, oolong or caffeine-free herbal infusions. On a Sencha base, as in Tiaoxu, they bring a fruity roundness. On an oolong, they take on a more woody, honeyed character.

What do people think of goji green tea?
Fans appreciate its balance of citrus freshness, floral softness and the fruity notes of the berries. It's an approachable tea, a perfect introduction to scented Sencha, and one that seasoned palates enjoy too, for its clean, bitterness-free finish.
