The aromatic profile of Watermelon Sunrise

The nose opens on an instantly recognisable burst of fruit: juicy watermelon, underscored by soft melon and sunny mango. A bright, frank first impression that evokes a heaped bowl of summer fruit.

On the palate, the heart blossoms around apple and pineapple, two fruits that bring roundness and freshness. Pieces of kiwi add a gentle tang, while cherry glides in with a touch of sweetness and indulgence.

Whole lemon verbena gives this fruit bouquet structure with a subtle, almost citrusy herbal note. Quince and fig round out the finish with velvety softness, while cornflower blossoms light up the cup with a deep shade of blue.

This infusion is completely caffeine-free, making it a perfect companion at any hour. If you enjoy fruity profiles, you might also love our summer sun herbal infusion with its tropical accents.

How to brew Watermelon Sunrise

To bring out the full aromatic range of this fruity infusion, pay attention to these four key parameters: quantity, temperature, time and water quality.

Dosage: use 15 to 20 grams of blend per litre of water, roughly one heaped tablespoon per cup. As the fruit pieces are chunky, don't be shy with the dose.

Temperature: bring the water to a full boil at 100°C. Dried fruit needs this heat to fully release its natural sugars and aromas.

Steeping: infuse for 10 to 12 minutes. This allows the pieces of apple, mango and quince to open slowly and deeply perfume the brew.

Iced version: brew a concentrated infusion using the hot method, let it cool slightly, then pour over ice. The result is a naturally flavoured, wonderfully refreshing drink. You can also cold-brew in the fridge for 4 hours for a gentler flavour.

Storing your fruity infusion

Keep your herbal infusion in an airtight tin, away from light, heat and moisture. The fruit pieces will stay full of flavour for 18 to 24 months. Blended in our workshop, it arrives ready to brew.
