At a glance: our organic Tianzhu green tea blends Sencha, jasmine, strawberry and mild chili. Steep at 70-80°C for 2-3 minutes, using 12 to 15 g per litre. Enjoy hot or iced.

Tianzhu is a bold creation that weaves the fresh, vegetal character of our green tea selection together with the rounded fruitiness of strawberry and a gentle warmth from chili. A blend crafted by our house for those who love to be surprised from the very first sip.

Beneath its sunny, summery appearance, this organic blend holds real aromatic depth. Lavender, jasmine and purple echinacea form a generous floral bouquet, while guarana and chili add an unexpected, invigorating edge.

The aromatic profile of Tianzhu

The opening is decidedly fruity. Strawberry leads with a lush, juicy top note, supported by a natural aroma that extends its sweetness without making it heavy.

At the heart, jasmine unfolds its classic floral fragrance: silky, almost creamy. Lavender offers an herbal counterpoint, and purple echinacea adds a subtle vegetal nuance.

The Sencha base provides the green backbone: lightly briny and buttery, as is characteristic of this style. Pai Mu Tan, a delicate white tea, rounds everything out with a soft, cottony smoothness.

On the finish, a touch of chili leaves a quiet warmth on the palate, just enough to awaken the senses without masking the fruit. Guarana lends a lingering, energising length. Explore our Japanese cherry green tea to continue the fruity journey.

How to prepare Tianzhu green tea

Getting the most from this blend comes down to a careful steep. Water that is too hot will scorch the Sencha leaves and dull the floral finesse; steeping too long will draw out bitterness.

Quantity: 12 to 15 g of loose-leaf per litre of water, roughly one heaped tablespoon per 250 ml cup.

Temperature: between 70 and 80°C. Bring the water to a light simmer, then let it rest off the heat for two minutes before pouring over the leaves.

Steeping time: 2 to 3 minutes, to taste. A shorter steep preserves the full floral delicacy; a little longer lets the warmth of the chili come through.

Accessories: a glass or porcelain teapot beautifully shows off the petals and pieces of strawberry. For an iced version, double the quantity and filter directly over ice for a refreshing summer infusion. For more guidance, visit our guide to green tea.

Storage

Keep your Tianzhu in its original tin, away from light, moisture and strong odours. Strawberry and jasmine aromas are delicate and volatile: an airtight container will preserve their freshness for several months after opening. Try this blend iced for a distinctive summer ritual.

Frequently asked questions

What are the benefits of green tea?
Green tea has been cherished for centuries for its refined aromatic profile and its place in everyday rituals. Tianzhu is above all a tea to be enjoyed for the pleasure of the cup, whether as a quiet break or a companion to an active day.

How do I brew a strawberry chili green tea?
Steep 12 to 15 g of leaves per litre in water at 70-80°C for 2 to 3 minutes. Water that is too hot will mask the floral finesse and bring out bitterness in the Sencha.

Where can I buy organic green tea?
Our selection of organic green teas is available directly from our online shop, featuring whole-leaf teas from certified organic farming. Our guide to green tea moments will help you find the ideal time for each variety.

What does Tianzhu green tea taste like?
Tianzhu delivers a trio of strawberry, jasmine and mild chili, over a vegetal Sencha base and a silky Pai Mu Tan. Lavender and echinacea bring a distinctive floral and herbal signature.

Can it be enjoyed throughout the day?
Yes, this blend suits any time of day. Its invigorating Sencha base makes it a great morning cup, while its floral softness makes it a lovely companion for an afternoon break.
