Rwandan tea:

Originating from the African Great Lakes region, Rwandan tea has been produced since the 1970s in the heart of the Kinihira district, in the Northern Province. This Rwandan region bordering Uganda and the Republic of Congo north of Kigali, presents the best conditions for tea cultivation: fertile soil and temperate climate. Having become the national beverage throughout history, this black tea is consumed by the Rwandan population with lots of milk and sugar. Locally, children drink it from a very young age. Tea cultivation in Rwanda ranks sixth among African countries, after Kenya, South Africa, Cameroon, Tanzania, and Burundi.

The benefits and virtues of Rwandan tea

Throughout history, black teas, green or white have always been appreciated for their pleasant taste, but also for their beneficial effect on health. Starting with their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-aging action helping to fight against the development of cardiovascular diseases. In its natural state, Rwanda Rukeri OP Organic tea, like all black teas, contains caffeine that stimulates the nervous system.
