Every tea is different, and the number of tea bags for 1 liter of water to use varies, which is why we have taken care to indicate on each of our tea bags the steeping temperature as well as the correct dosage. More generally, we recommend using the dosage below for preparing your infusions:
Using the right dose of tea for 1 liter of water
For green tea, it depends on the type of tea, but it is recommended to use around 10 grams of tea per liter of hot water. Green tea has a short steeping time; if you enjoy bold teas with a more pronounced flavor, you can easily use a dose of between 20 and 30 g/L.
For black tea, we recommend around 10 grams of tea per liter of hot water. This will give you a mild and light drink, while still allowing you to fully appreciate the aromas. Those who enjoy bold black tea can double the dose, which will give the tea a strong liquor.
For Rooibos, herbal teas and infusions, we again recommend a dosage of 10 grams per liter of water — you will obtain an infusion full of flavor.
What water should I use to brew my tea?
To make the perfect cup of tea, you must also pay attention to the quality of the water — this is very important.
Always use cold water and bring it to a boil. It is entirely unnecessary to use hot water from the tap, which may contain higher levels of heavy metals. It is also highly recommended to use filtered water.
How many liters from a 100-gram packet?
With each 100g bag of tea, following our recommendations, you will be able to make around ten teapots or approximately 30 individual cups!
Since every tea drinker is different, you will need to find your ideal dosage. To avoid waste, we recommend starting by following the advice indicated on each of our packages.
