Tea bag liter of water

Each tea is different, so the number of tea bags for 1 liter of water varies. That's why we've carefully indicated the steeping temperature and the correct dosage on each of our tea bags. More generally, we recommend using the dosage below for preparing your infusions:

Using the right amount of tea for 1 liter of water

For green tea, it depends on the type of tea, but it's recommended to use about 10 grams of tea per liter of hot water. Green tea has a short steeping time; if you prefer stronger teas with a more pronounced taste, you can easily use between 20 and 30 g/L.

For black tea, we recommend about 10 grams of tea per liter of hot water, which will give you a mild and light-bodied drink while still allowing you to fully experience the flavors. Those who prefer strong black tea can double the amount, resulting in a robust brew.

For Rooibos, herbal teas and infusions, we again recommend a dosage of 10 grams per liter of water, which will give you an infusion full of flavor.

What water should I use for brewing my tea?

To perfectly brew your tea, you should also pay attention to the quality of the water, which is very important.

Always use cold water and bring it to a boil. It's completely unnecessary to use hot tap water, which may contain more heavy metals. It is also highly recommended to use filtered water.

How many liters can I make with a 100-gram package?

You'll be able to make about ten teapots for each 100g tea bag following our recommendations, or approximately 30 individual cups!

As each tea drinker is different, you'll need to find your ideal dosage. To avoid waste, we recommend initially following the advice indicated on each of our packages.
