Moga Cha and Matcha are green teas in powder form. They come from the Tencha plant, which belongs to the Japanese family of shaded teas. The cultivation of these teas consists in protecting the tea plants from the sun's rays a few weeks before the harvest. The difference between organic Moga Cha and organic Matcha lies in the manufacturing process. Matcha is made from steamed Tencha. Moga Cha is produced without modifying the Tencha. At the end of the process, both teas are ground to a powder using stone millstones.
Like all Japanese green teas, organic Moga Cha is rich in antioxidants. A real immune booster, it is known for its effectiveness against cholesterol and its preventive action against skin aging. The Moga Cha contains theine and caffeine to improve concentration and memorization. Its concentration in L-theanine reduces stress and produces a soothing effect. In Japan, Moga Cha was elevated to the rank of medicine by the samurais.
The preparation of organic Moga Cha is very different from other Japanese greens. To make your drink, pour one measure of product into a matcha bowl. Complete with 80 ml of water. Whisk with a "chasen" (or matcha whisk) making W's. When you get a smooth foam, your organic Moga Cha is ready to drink.
Count 1 gram of powder for 1 liter of water. To measure precisely the Moga Cha dose, use a chasaku (matcha spoon).
Like most Japanese teas, Moga Cha requires simmering water. Its temperature must reach 75°C maximum. Its infusion time is very fast: 25 seconds maximum.
Natural or sweetened, the organic Moga Chacan be enjoyed at any time of the day. Year after year, the organic Moga Cha cold, chambré or hot enters the French cookbooks. It can be used in pastries (financiers, madeleines or shortbread) or in the preparation of iced drinks like smoothies.
