A complete set to fully embrace the matcha ritual

The Matcha Kuro gift set brings together in one collection the four essential tools for preparing matcha in the traditional way: a 550 ml porcelain chawan bowl (13 x 7 cm), a whisk holder (kusenaoshi), a bamboo chasen with fine tines, and a light bamboo chashaku spoon. Each piece has been chosen for how naturally it fits the gestures of the tea ceremony.

The bowl and holder are crafted in black enamelled porcelain, touched with pearlescent anthracite grey highlights that evoke the Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetic. The rich, luminous glaze gives each piece its own distinct character, somewhere between depth and lightness, and makes the vivid green of matcha truly stand out.

Use and care

The wide opening of the chawan bowl gives the chasen plenty of room to work up a good foam. The porcelain pieces can be cleaned with warm water and no harsh products. The bamboo chasen and spoon should be rinsed gently under clear water and left to air-dry, to keep the tines in good condition.
