Unlike Roman chamomile, which has a very bitter taste, chamomile matricaria has a sweet flavor. Ideal after a meal, this infusion brings well-being and inner peace. The drink also provides a pleasant warmth during winter evenings or rainy days. Combined with another flower, such as rose, the organic chamomile infusion soothes and relaxes young and old.
Formerly prized for its sleep-inducing action, chamomile flower (matricaria recutita) blends with a large number of sedative plants such as linden, verbena or lemon balm. Far from this simplistic image, natural chamomile tea has many other benefits.

How much organic chamomile?

The taste of chamomile is delicate. To guarantee a quality tea, we recommend using 13 to 18 grams of dried flowers for one liter of water. More diluted, the organic chamomile loses the benefits of the oil contained in its flowers and its taste becomes bland.

What is the ideal infusion temperature for organic chamomile?

To obtain a quality organic chamomile tea, the infusion of the product must be done at a temperature of 100°C. Thus, the plant of herbalist preserves its benefits. A hotter water denatures the essential oil of the flowers.

When to drink organic chamomile?
