Darjeeling tea, an organic black tea with the aroma of the Himalayas in your cup

The flavors and aromas of Darjeeling teas, the most renowned in the world, can vary from one garden to another and depending on the harvest (four per year). The teas from these gardens near the Himalayas are generally fruity and spicy. The Darjeeling FTGFOP 1 Spring Valley tea, from our organic black tea selection, is harvested during the second flush, which is fuller-bodied and more aromatic than the first flush. Its grade indicates that it is composed of finely rolled and regularly processed leaves, and superior quality buds.

The benefits of Darjeeling FTGFOP

Black teas, whether Assam or Darjeeling, rich in theine and polyphenols, have numerous virtues. Their energizing power and antioxidant properties are beneficial for the cardiovascular and immune systems. Rich in tannins, an infusion of this organic black tea also aids digestion. Moreover, by favoring tea origins from organic gardens, we guarantee the quality of the leaves and buds and their natural production, without pesticides or chemicals.

Our tasting tips

How to prepare Darjeeling FTGFOP black tea?

The infusion of loose organic black tea is ideally prepared in fabric tea bags or a teapot (preferably ceramic), to retain all its aromas, flavors, and benefits. This tea can be spiced, served plain, with milk, or even with chocolate.

How much Darjeeling FTGFOP black tea to use?

Like all black teas, and to enhance its exceptional nature, the recommended quantity is 12 to 15 grams per liter of water or the equivalent of one teaspoon per cup.

What is the ideal steeping temperature for Darjeeling FTGFOP black tea?

This organic tea should be steeped at a temperature of 95°C to 100°C for 3 to 5 minutes. Preferably, use low mineral content water, either filtered or bottled.

When to drink Darjeeling FTGFOP black tea?

Darjeeling black tea, like Assam or Yunnan tea, is preferably drunk in the morning, at breakfast, and can easily substitute for the traditional Earl Grey. Due to its stimulating effect, it is not recommended in the late afternoon or evening.

The advantages of loose Darjeeling FTGFOP black tea

All our organic black teas, from India, China, or Sri Lanka, and herbal teas are packaged in France and are available in bags or metal tins of 50g or 100g. Loose Darjeeling tea helps preserve the flavors and aromatic details of the blend. By protecting it from light, air, and humidity, an airtight container enhances its spicy taste or fruity notes.
